Mid-September enrolment in ordinary kindergartens, primary and secondary day schools, from the Education Bureau Student Enrolment Statistics 2025/26 and Key Statistics. Kindergarten includes kindergarten-cum-child care centres (nursery, lower and upper). Districts are school premises, not where pupils live. Cross-boundary pupils travel daily from the Mainland; 2022/23 is as at February 2023, 2023/24 as at October 2023, later years as at September. Mainland new intake is first-time primary and secondary admissions from the Mainland, not the same as cross-boundary.

學生人數為每年九月中普通幼稚園、小學及中學日校數字，來自教育局《學生人數統計 2025/26》及主要統計。幼稚園包括幼稚園暨幼兒中心（幼兒班、低班、高班）。分區按校舍所在區議會劃分，不是學生居住地。跨境學生每日來港上課；2022/23 年為 2023 年 2 月、2023/24 年為 2023 年 10 月，其後為九月。內地新來港學額指小學及中學首次取錄的內地學生，與跨境學生不同。
